Application for Graduation

All students must complete an Application For Graduation in order to receive their DMACC diploma(s). Students who plan to participate in DMACC's annual commencement ceremony in May must notify DMACC of their planned participation in the ceremony through the application for graduation.

  • Students must apply for graduation by March 1 to join DMACC's commencement ceremony, as we order student caps and gowns in March each year.
  • There is no fee to participate in the commencement ceremony.
  • Students who will receive more than one degree, diploma or certificate need to complete a graduation application for each program.
  • Diplomas are mailed six weeks after final grades are posted.

Do I have to apply for graduation?

​Yes, all graduating students MUST apply for graduation. To apply for graduation, follow instructions in the Application for Graduation section above.


When is the deadline to apply for graduation?

​The deadline to apply for graduation is March 1.


Is there a graduation fee to participate in commencement or to receive my diploma?

​No, there is no fee to participate in the commencement ceremony.


Do I have to apply for graduation even if I don't want to participate in the commencement ceremony?

Yes, even if you do not want to participate in the commencement ceremony you still must apply for graduation.


How can I request a replacement diploma?

​Complete the Replacement Diploma Request form to request a replacement.

NOTE: DMACC does not offer electronic diplomas. They can be mailed or picked up.
