- Student Loan Payments. Student loan payments restarted last year (October 2023) but there was a continued grace period allowing students to adjust to making payments again. Negative credit reports were delayed while millions of students started, re-continued, or made special arrangements to manage repaying student loans. Key student loan protection ends September 30, here's what borrowers should know (msn.com). If you have not started or find ANY difficulty in repaying your loans contact your loan servicer immediately. Loan servicers are very flexible regarding necessary payment arrangements. You can find your loan history, loan status and loan servicer by signing into your student aid portal through studentaid.gov.
- Private and Outside Scholarship Opportunities. We encourage all students to review the numerous and varied scholarship opportunities found on our Outside Scholarship page. Dozens of opportunities with many different, but often easy to meet, qualifying criteria and application requirements. However, deadlines also vary with some as early as this Autumn. We strongly recommend exploring opportunities that are based on major of study, interests, talents, and many other experiences and abilities.
