The Iowa Culinary Institute is excited to announce our 2023 Spring Gourmet Dinner Series. Our dinners are intended to introduce our culinary students to ethnic ingredients, spices, and products, while designing meals for the American palate. These are elegant evenings of candlelight, soft live music (flute and classical guitar), and gourmet food paired with fine wines. Although there is no dress code for ICI dinners, we suggest business or cocktail attire.
All dinners will be in the Lakeview Dining Room of the ICI, located in Building 7 on the
DMACC Ankeny campus.
Champagne or sparkling wine reception will begin in the ICI Atrium at 6:00 PM, and dinner will be served at 6:30 PM. Please do not arrive earlier than 5:45, as students need time for set up.
The cost for each dinner is $120 per person ($40 per person is tax-deductible and will be credited towards membership in the
ICI Chef’s Toque Society) unless otherwise noted.
Reservations are required and are limited for each event. A link to the gourmet dinner reservation site will be sent to our mailing list soon. Reservations will be processed on a first come first served basis. You will receive confirmation and payment information via email. Dinner reservations will not be held without payment.
Guests may be seated with guests from other parties with a maximum of eight people per table. We are unable to seat parties larger than eight at this time.
We are only able to accommodate dietary requests based on medical allergies or religious restrictions. Please alert us to medical or religious dietary requests upon making your reservation.
You will receive a courtesy reminder via email one week prior to every dinner that you purchase.
If you have been exposed to COVID-19 recently or have symptoms of COVID-19 (including a fever, cough, or shortness of breath), please help us keep everyone safe by staying home.
Guests who are unable to attend a dinner may provide substitute guests to use the pre-paid dinner tickets. Please provide the ICI with substitute guest information by contacting Kristi Miller at
kdmiller9@dmacc.edu or (515) 964-6477. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received fewer than 72 hours advance notice from the dinner date. You will still receive the appropriate tax-deductible portion of the ticket price.
Members of the Iowa Culinary Institute Chef’s Toque Society provide financial support for student activities and scholarships. Toque Society members are recognized and provided with certain benefits including early notice and special invitations to ICI Gourmet Dinners and Special Events.
