Direct the hiring process for all positions and determine starting salaries for regular
employees. Conduct Affirmative Action Review.
Tresa Wilson-Marier - Coordinator, Talent Acquisition, 515-964-6479, tmmarier@dmacc.edu
Coordination of adjunct, part-time, and student employee recruitment and hiring, reviewing
and approving course approvals for adjunct instructors, screening applications for
regular faculty and staff positions, training supervisors on hiring processes for
adjunct, part-time, and student staff. Serves as backup to the Director, Talent Acquisition.

Review submitted time reporting and serve as a resource for employee questions about
payroll and tax deductions. Responsible for reviewing, verifying, and inputting all
data related to nursing adjunct pay.

Conduct workplace investigations and provide performance management consulting. Consult,
advise, and chair the Job Reclassification (Job Evaluation) process.
Debra Wiley - Director, Classification and Compensation, 515-964-6288, dwiley5@dmacc.edu
Responsible for the classification and compensation programs for the College ensuring
that programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and
government regulations. Serve as subject matter expert for consulting and advising
on compensation related issues, including wage and hour (FLSA) issues, salary placement,
salary structure development, and salary equity studies.

Responsible for reviewing, verifying, and inputting all data related to adjunct credit
and non-credit pay, faculty overload, faculty sabbatical leave, clinical pay, directed/independent
study pay and leave usage of regular staff teaching adjunct classes during the day.

Serve as the general receptionist for HR. Assist with questions and process employment
actions for adjunct faculty, temporary employees, student and work study students.

Facilitate and process information for employees regarding FMLA, Long Term & Short
Term disability. Coordinate and process Workers’ Compensation claims. Coordinate employee
Tuition Waiver and Dependent Child Tuition Remission process.

information and serves as the HIPAA Privacy Officer.

for employees. Develop strategies and goals for employee orientation program.

compliance of payroll. Responsible for reviewing, verifying, and inputting all data
related to additional pay.

Responsible for reviewing, verifying, and inputting all data related to sub pay and
Adjunct Orientation and Training pay. Assists Benefits Coordinator with processing
all mandatory and voluntary insurance deductions for employees.
