This noncredit certificate program is a Web-Blended course. This short-term certificate course is approximately 64-74 hours in length and will help give students the skills and knowledge needed to become a Phlebotomy Technician. You will be drawing blood from patients, caring for lab equipment, caring for patients while in your lab or drawing area, shipping samples, etc. This course will provide skill development in the performance of a variety of blood collection methods, teaching you proper techniques, including standard precautions and HIPAA training.

The course breakdown is approximately 34 Hours of combined Online and face to face learning (Please note, there are NO absences for the Face-to-Face class). The remaining 30-40 hours are spent in your clinical rotation until you have successfully completed a minimum of 30 hours and a minimum of 80 successful sticks.

This training will educate students in an entry level position to feel competent and skilled to begin a career in the laboratory.
