West Des Moines Campus Academic Resource Center

The West Campus Academic Resource Center is located in Room 119W. Within this resource center are our Academic Achievement Center, our walk-in tutoring center, and our testing center. The descriptions and schedules for each are below.

In Person Tutoring at West Campus will not be offered during summer terms.


 

​Academic Achievement Center

The AAC is located right inside the door to Room 119W and offers specialty assistance for Option 2 Students and Youth at Risk.
 
Hours of the AAC are Tuesdays & Wednesdays 9:00 a.m.—3:00 p.m.

DMACC West Testing Center will be open for students:
Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10:00am – 2:00pm

On-Campus Testing at West:

  • On-Campus Testing at West: Make-up tests for a DMACC class (know your instructor's name and have a photo ID). No appointment needed. Walk-ins welcome.
  • ACCUPLACER (Reading/Writing) – Appointments preferred, call 515-633-2426 or email westtestingcenter@dmacc.edu. Walk-ins welcome during open hours at least 90 minutes before closing.
  • ACCUPLACER (ELL) – Appointment preferred, call 515-633-2426 or email westtestingcenter@dmacc.edu.  Walk-ins welcome at least two hours before closing.
  • ​ALEKS math assessments may be taken from home or on campus: ALEKS information.

West Test Center Notes:

  • A photo ID is required to take any test.
  • Tests must be started at least two hours prior to closing and must be completed prior to leaving the testing center.
  • Students taking DMACC makeup tests are required to know the name of the instructor.​
  • Cell phones, smart watches and other electronic devices are not allowed while testing.
  • New students who will be attending DMACC must have an Application for Admission on file at least 48 hours before taking the ACCUPLACER Test.
  • No food or drinks allowed in the Testing Center.​​
