DMACC Testing Center locations have specific hours of operation and tests available. 

All DMACC campuses are closed on the following dates in 2024:

  • January 1
  • January 15
  • February 16
  • May 27
  • July 4
  • September 2
  • October 25
  • November 27 (close at noon)
  • November 28-29
  • December 24 - January 1, 2025

Additional test center closures are noted below under each location.

Online/Remote Testing (All Campuses)

DMACC offers remote testing for three assessments:

  1. ACCUPLACER® Assessment for DMACC.
  2. ACCUPLACER Assessment for employment.
  3. ATI® TEAS Assessment for DMACC.

Saturday Testing: The Ankeny Testing Center will be open the 2nd Saturday of the month from 8:00a-12:00p. Saturday appointments can be scheduled here. 

Scheduling: See below for requirements. 

Tests offered – no appointment needed:

  • ACCUPLACER Assessments – Allow at least 90 minutes for testing.
  • ACCUPLACER (ELL) – Allow at least two hours for testing.
  • ATI TEAS Assessment – Allow 4 hours for check-in and testing. Walk-ins welcome or schedule an appointment.
  • Dental Board Certification - Allow 1 hour for testing. Walk-ins welcome or schedule an appointment.
  • DMACC proctored exams.
  • Pesticide Applicator – Allow at least 1 hour for testing. Examinees need to create an account and bring their login information to the testing site.

Tests offered – by appointment only:

  • AMBDI – Death Investigator - Appointment required. Call or email to schedule.
  • Assessor/Deputy Assessor – Appointment required. Call or email to schedule.
  • Challenge Tests – Appointment required. Call or email to schedule.
  • CLEP – Appointment required. Schedule an appointment.
  • CNA Comp Test – Written test. Schedule an appointment.
  • Firefighter Written Exam - Schedule an appointment.
  • Plumbing and Mechanical Systems Board Exam (Kirkwood) – Schedule an appointment. Testers must register for an exam with Kirkwood Community College before making a testing appointment at DMACC.
  • Other Colleges proctored exams. Call or email to schedule.
