Check dinner rolls off your Thanksgiving meal prep list! Students in the Iowa Culinary Institute® (ici®) Baking and Pastry Arts Program at the DMACC Newton Campus are ready to once again prepare delicious, freshly-baked rolls for your holiday tables.
The Baking and Pastry Arts Program, which was launched in Fall 2020, is hosting its Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Roll Fundraiser for the sixth year in a row.
Orders may be placed now through 12 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 24.
The last two years of the popular fundraiser set records for total orders, with students preparing nearly 10,000 dinner rolls for customers.
“This Thanksgiving Dinner Roll fundraiser has been a big success over the years and the Baking and Pastry Arts program students are looking forward to highlighting their culinary skills again,” said Chef Ryan Binney, who leads the Baking and Pastry Arts Program at the DMACC Newton Campus. “Funds raised in their effort will be used to help pay for students to attend a Baking Expo next summer.”
