Assessment Commission

The Assessment Commission supports the continuous improvement of teaching and learning at DMACC. The Commission is responsible for

  • promoting best practices
  • providing meaningful reports on student learning outcomes and
  • recommending improvements to curriculum and instruction

The Commission was established to ensure that assessment at DMACC is faculty-driven and learner-centered.

Responsibilities

The Assessment Commission works on the following:

  • Assessment design
  • Research-based best practices
  • Alignment with learning outcomes
  • DMACC’s Essential Learning Outcomes
  • Assessment data collection and reporting
  • Application of technology to support assessment
  • Institutional policies and procedures related to assessment
