DMACC Future of Agriculture Scholarship Endowment
The Future of Agriculture Scholarship supports students working toward a career in Agribusiness, Horticulture, or Veterinary Technology. Designed to cultivate the next generation of leaders in rural America, this scholarship helps students strengthen their skill sets and prepare to bring their knowledge and innovation back to rural Iowa communities. Students who are interested in agriculture, plants, animals, innovation, and shaping the future of the industry are encouraged to apply.
The Future of Agriculture Scholarship awards $1,500 per semester to seven students - one from each FFA District in the state of Iowa and one at large. A maximum of 5 semesters awarded.
Eligibility
To be eligible, students must:
- Must hold an office in FFA during high school (President, Vice President, Secretary, Reporter, Treasurer, and Sentinel)
- GPA at or above 2.5
- Applicants must be high school students who enroll in the Agribusiness, Horticulture, or Veterinary Technician AAS program at DMACC
*Applications are accepted from December 1 - March 1
