Outdoor Recreation
Are you looking to build lifelong friendships? Want to overcome challenges and travel to some of the most beautiful places? Seeking to accomplish goals and/or obtain new skills and knowledge?
Then the DMACC Outdoor Recreation Program is for you!
With the help of Iowa State University, students can participate low-cost opportunities to experience and learn about the great outdoors.
Examples include backpacking, cycling, camping, canoeing, white water rafting, canyoning, caving, fishing, hiking, kayaking, mountaineering, and rock climbing.

NEW! Bike Rentals
The Campus Recreation Department is now renting Bikes to students, faculty and staff. Bikes can be rented by the day from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday at no cost. Stop by the Campus Recreation Office in bldg. 5 across from Café X if interested.
Equipment Rental
Outdoor equipment can be rented through the Campus Recreation Office in building 5 between Trail Point Aquatics & Wellness and Subway.
- To rent equipment, you must present a current DMACC One or Staff ID Card.
- There are daily and long term rates for Bike Rentals.
- There are Rec Membership and Non-Rec Membership rates for Outdoor Recreation Equipment.
- Payment is due at the time of the reservation. We accept cash, check or card.
