Our Student Services area will help you get started at DMACC.

 

Free Tutoring

DMACC faculty and staff are focused on helping students succeed. the Academic Achievement Center (AAC) on the Ankeny Campus offers FREE assistance to any enrolled student, including regularly scheduled sessions for subjects such as math, English, reading, study skills and computer skills.

Do you need to brush up on some specific skills before enrolling in college level classes? The AAC offers self-paced classes in reading, study skills and math, and you can receive college credit.

DMACC Honors Program

DMACC offers the first-of-its-kind Honors Program to high-achieving students who want an even more enriching college experience. Honors students study a more challenging curriculum, but are rewarded with some exclusive benefits and amenities including scholarships, field trips, speakers, lower student-to-professor ratio classes, priority registration and higher placement in four-year universities, just to name a few.

Library, Computer Labs, Internet

Library, computer labs, wireless internet access - the Ankeny Campus connects you with the raw material to build your academic skills.

The campus library holds nearly 40,000 books, 200 active periodical subscriptions, and more than 2,000 videos and other non-print materials. What you can't find in the library will is available through DMACC's InterLibrary Loan Program that connects you to thousands of libraries across the United States.

Students have access to computer labs, plus the entire campus - including residence centers - offers reliable wireless internet access. Students also find plenty of quiet spaces to study.

  • Dental services - Dental Hygiene program offers dental cleanings and other services at a reduced fee to the public as well as DMACC employees and students.
