Guest Student FAQ

Guest Student Q&A

A ‘Guest Student’ is anyone who is enrolled and in good standing at another college or university, who wishes to attend DMACC on a part-time basis while enrolled at his/her ‘home’ college/university.  Most guest students attend during the summer.

A Guest student is not required to take the ACCUPLACER® exams for admission purposes, unless you are planning to register for developmental courses.

No.  Guest students are not able to receive financial aid through DMACC.  You are encouraged to consult with your home college/university if you have questions about your financial aid package.

Applications typically process within one to five days of submission.

No.  Only students who are degree-seeking at DMACC are required to complete New Student Orientation.

Guest students must remain part-time during the fall and spring semesters (11 credits or less) but can be full-time during the summer term.

It's a good idea to first check with your college or university to make sure the classes you are planning to take at DMACC will transfer back.
