  • Guest students must remain part-time during the fall and spring semesters (11 credits or less) but can be full-time during the summer term.
  • Guest students are not eligible for financial aid.
  • Guest students are not required to attend new student orientation.

New Guest Students

Application Steps:

  • Complete and submit a DMACC Admission Application.
    • Always apply as liberal arts, no matter what your major.
    • Indicate that you are a guest student on your application.
  • You must also provide a valid student ID or acceptance letter from your college or university.
    Fax it to 515-964-6391, or scan and email it to admissions@dmacc.edu.
  • You do not need to provide transcripts.

After You Submit Your Application:

  • You will receive an acceptance letter in the mail and by email after your application has been accepted. Processing of applications may take 1-5 days once received.
    Note: All hard copy letters will be sent to the address listed on your application.  Do not use your permanent home address if you want this correspondence to be sent to your college address.
  • You will also receive a PIN letter in the mail and by email after your acceptance letter has been sent. 
  • When you receive your acceptance letter, you can register for classes.
  • After receiving your PIN letter, you may log in to the Web Information System (using your DMACC Student ID number and PIN number) to register online. You may also register by phone by calling 515-964-6800 or visit any campus to register in person.

If you have not heard from DMACC within two weeks after submitting your application you can call the Admissions department to find out the status of your application: 515-965-7337 or admissions@dmacc.edu.

Please note: Sometimes emails can be caught in your Spam filters.  Please check to see if emails from DMACC are there before you call with questions.

Returning Guest Students

Application Steps:

  • If you are a returning student, it is not necessary to re-apply
  • You must also provide a valid student ID or acceptance letter from your college or university.
    Fax it to 515-964-6391, or scan and email it to admissions@dmacc.edu.

TRANSFERRING YOUR DMACC CREDITS BACK TO YOUR HOME INSTITUTION

It's a good idea to first check with your college or university to make sure the classes you are planning to take at DMACC will transfer back.
