Manufacturing today is an efficient, high-tech operation, and welders are the backbone of the industry. Welders must learn a variety of skills and processes in several methods of joining metals. The ongoing demand for skilled welders find employers seeking qualified, educated people who can produce products meeting exacting quality specifications.
Employers will ask, “Is this welder qualified?” Supervisors and inspectors will ask, “Does this weld meet product specifications?” If you earn a Welding Certificate at the Iowa Welding Institute at DMACC, the answer will be, “YES.”
