The many rewards and challenges of owning your own business are being realized by increasing numbers of people. The DMACC Entrepreneurship program will help you put together or improve your plans for being successful in owning or operating a small business.
In addition to innovative marketing strategies, creative financing methods and employee development skills, the program emphasizes personal development in accounting, supervision, communication and relationship management. Both day and evening courses are offered.
Each year we offer an Entrepreneurship Day which offers a blend of speakers and panelists on current topics and issues.

The Business Administration-Entrepreneurship Concentration AAS degree is intended for the student who desires employment in a small business or plans to open and operate their own small business. Students will engage in a course of study that will prepare them with knowledge in Accounting, Computer Applications, Economics, Business Communications and Presentations, Small Business Management and Marketing Principles, Business Law, and Strategic Management.

The Entrepreneurship program will help you create or improve your plans to be successful in owning or operating a Small-Business. Although you may have the technical skills, or be very knowledgeable about a certain industry, the entrepreneurship program emphasizes how your passion and skills tie into the day-to-day operation of a business. The Central Iowa market has several large insurance companies that provide a wealth of opportunities for students to seek employment in after graduation. Additionally, this program includes curriculum supporting the Iowa Property and Casualty Insurance Exam, which allows for students to sit for this exam at the completion of this course.
