DMACC Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) students were honored at the All Iowa Banquet dinner March 3, hosted by Community Colleges for Iowa.
Twenty-four students were recognized on the 2026 All Iowa Academic Team, each earning a $1,000 transfer scholarship.
Each student who won the All Iowa Award are also eligibile for an extra $2,000 per year in transfer scholarships if they choose to attend Iowa State University, University of Northern Iowa, or University of Iowa.
Two students — Marinza Roosa and Wesley Sharp — received the $1,000 Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholarship.
In addition, Tracy Ngo and Julio Boanerges were named semifinalists for the prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, a highly competitive national award that can provide up to $55,000 per year for community college students who transfer to a four-year institution.
