TheGoldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB) program today announced the start of its 15th Cohort in Iowa, with 39 small business owners from across the state coming together to grow their skills and gain the tools they need to take their business to the next level.
Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program, which is administered by DMACC in Iowa, is offered at no cost to small business owners who apply and are selected to participate. Since it launched in Iowa in 2019, the program has helped 391 Iowa entrepeneurs drive economic growth and create jobs in their local communities.
Cohort 15 will be in session through May 1, and its graduates will join an alumni network of more than 17,000 small businesses nationwide.
"We are thrilled to welcome the newest cohort of small busineses owners in Iowa to the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program," said Jacki Boldt, Executive Director. The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program addresses the most significant challenges faced by small businesses by providing practical business educaion, access to capital, and support services. Through the comprehensive program, small business owners have the opportunity to gain practical skills and work one-on-one with a dedicated business advisor to develop an individual growth plan for their business.
Kian Gibson, of Christiansen Jewelry in Hampton, Iowa, shared the impact the program had on his business:

"It gave me a better perspective of what I need to pay attention to in order to run my business successfully. I met so many peers in the group and I now have a vast network of support for the future.
