The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB) program today announced the start of its 14th Cohort in Iowa, with 28 small business owners from across the state coming together to grow their skills and gain the tools they need to take their business to the next level.
The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program, which is administered by Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) in Iowa, is offered at no cost to small business owners who apply and are selected to participate. The program has helped 364 Iowa entrepreneurs drive economic growth and create jobs in their local communities since the program launched in Iowa in 2019. Cohort 14 will be in session through November, and graduates will join an alumni network of more than 16,000 small businesses nationwide.
“We are thrilled to welcome the newest cohort of small businesses owners in Iowa to the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program,” said Jacki Boldt, Executive Director of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses in Iowa. “I’ve witnessed firsthand how transformative the business education, critical resources and unmatched network provided by this program have been for local small business owners over the years, and I’m looking forward to working with another group of Iowa entrepreneurs to help their businesses thrive.”
The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program addresses the most significant challenges faced by small businesses by providing practical business education, access to capital and support services. Through the comprehensive program, small business owners have the opportunity to gain practical skills and work one-on-one with a dedicated Business Advisor to develop an individual growth plan for their business.
Madison Sweet, owner of Bloom Women's Wellness, shared the impact the program had on her business:
"Through intensive coursework, hands-on coaching, and collaboration with fellow entrepreneurs from across the state, I gained clarity on our financials, refined our growth strategy, and built confidence in leading Bloom through its next chapter of expansion. The program challenged me to sharpen my operations, strengthen my leadership, and think bigger than I ever had before. For Bloom, the impact has been clear. Since completing 10KSB, we’ve expanded our services, added new team members, and deepened our commitment to being a one-stop destination for women’s wellness. The program gave me the confidence to take calculated risks, the skills to back those risks with strategy, and the vision to see Bloom not just as a local clinic, but as a growing force for change in women’s health care."
Applications for the Spring cohort, which begins in February 2026, are currently being accepted. The deadline to apply is Nov. 1. To learn more and review application information, visit iowa10ksb.com.
