Andy Nelson is the Campus Recreation Coordinator for the DMACC Ankeny Campus. He began his career at DMACC as the Intramural and Facility Specialist for the Campus Recreation Department in 2005.

Andy is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a B.A. degree in Leisure, Youth & Human Services with emphases in Programming, Youth Services and Tourism. He also has his coaching authorization and is certified in CPR, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens and OSHA.

In addition to working in the Campus Recreation Department, he is a Supervisor for the City of Ames at the Ames/ISU Ice Arena.

Carole McConnell discovered her love of exercise in her early 20's. In 2005 she participated in Farrell's Ultimate Body Challenge and discovered a love of kickboxing. This led her to begin teaching kickboxing classes in the fall of 2005, earning her ACE (American Council of Exercise) certification in Group Fitness in 2006. That same year she completed her YogaFit certification. She holds specialty certifications in Fusion Fitness, Kettlebells, Group Cycling and Pilates.

Carole is also an Application Support Analyst for DMACC, she loves getting to know students and staff through both positions.
