Admissions Process: New Students

  1. ​Complete a DMACC Admission Application
    • Submit your high school transcript or GED scores.
    • Complete the Required Assessment.
    • Complete any other program or course prerequisites for the specific program for which application has been made.

    If coming from another college to take classes at DMACC, please read special instructions.

    Declare your program/major on the Application. If you're undecided, contact the Counseling and Advising Office at 515-964-6246.

    After completing steps 1-4 (above), you'll be notified of your status. DMACC accepts students for most programs on a first-come, first-served basis. If a program is filled at the time you submit the application, you'll be notified that you have been placed on a standby status.

    *High School Career Advantage students who wish to attend DMACC after high school must fill out a DMACC Application for Admission and complete admission requirements.
