To be eligible to vote in Iowa, you must be:
- a U.S. citizen,
- an Iowa Resident, and
- 18 years old by election day, November 3.
1. Register to Vote
All eligible voters in Iowa must first be registered to vote.
College students have the option to register to vote either:
- in your hometown
- where you currently live.
You can only register to vote in one location. See
College Student Voter Information.
