DMACC Student Orientation - Ankeny Campus
Orientations at DMACC are specific to the campus and program in which you have enrolled.
Please follow this quick, two-step process to complete the online portion of your New Student Orientation.
Step 1: Review Orientation Requirements
Who Needs to Attend DMACC Orientation
- Completion of orientation is mandatory for all new, degree-seeking students.
- Some students who have changed programs or have not attended their program for three or more years will be required to complete a new orientation.
- Students taking only a CNA class are
not required to complete orientation.
- Guest students or continuing education students (taking a class for an employer, for CE credits, etc.) are not required to complete orientation. Guest students are those enrolled at another institution and taking a course or courses at DMACC to transfer over. To update your academic status to reflect your status as Guest or Non-degree seeking, please contact admissions at 641-791-3622 or
admissions@dmacc.edu.
PLEASE NOTE: This Orientation is for you if you plan to take classes at Newton Campus for the following programs: Business Administration, Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, Electrical Construction Trades (ECT), Human Services, Liberal Arts, pre-Nursing, Realtime (Court) Reporting, and Welding.
If you plan to take classes for a different program and/or at a different DMACC campus, please submit a
Program Change Form. This will update your records and you will receive a notification with instructions on how to complete the appropriate orientation. Do not complete orientation until you are notified that your application has been updated.
If you have questions about your orientation requirements, please contact orientation at
orientation@dmacc.edu.
