Health and Disease:Human Body I

Students will incorporate critical thinking skills based on knowledge of course competencies to identify human anatomy and physiology, including interrelationship of organ systems. Common pathology, etiology, diagnostic aids, and treatment options and prognosis including pharmacology related to each body system. Study of interaction that occurs between systems and changes to the structure and function that occur across the life span. Wellness and prevention reviewed with each unit. Medical terminology, definition and pronunciation with key terms for each unit of study. Units studied are structural organization, disease process, immunity, neoplasms, integumentary, skeletal, muscular, blood, cardiovascular, and lymphatic. Remaining systems studied in MAP 551.
