Students will use critical thinking skills to incorporate cognitive knowledge in the performance of psychomotor and affective domains during practice of giving patient instructions, obtaining specimens, performing routine urinalysis, microbiologic testing and quality control procedures. Includes basic math and units of measure. Adhering to standard precautions, disposing of biohazardous materials, performing routine maintenance of clinical equipment and using methods of quality control are also covered.
