EMS480Special Considerations6This course covers Modules V & VI of the DOT National Standard Curriculum for EMT Paramedics. Assessment and management of specific age groups-including neonatal, pediatric and gerontologic patients - is identified. Chronically ill patients - those who have been victims of abuse and culturally diverse patients - are addressed. The lab component will be the assessment and management of special situations, including resuscitation of infants and children.
