Eligibility
- Available to undergraduates in the fall and spring semesters only.
- Students must remain enrolled full-time (12 credits) at their home institution for the semester they wish to cross-enroll. If student falls below full time, tuition fees may be billed by DMACC.
- The student must have previously completed 12 college credits (including transfer credit) prior to the semester in which cross enrollment is requested.
- Students must be in good academic standing at their home institution (cumulative 2.0 GPA or higher).
Note: Students who attend another college full time and are unsuccessful in cross enrolling at DMACC may apply as a Guest Student.DMACC Admission requirements must be satisfied and regular tuition/fees will be assessed.
Enrollment Guidelines
- An eligible Drake or Grand View student may cross enroll in only 1 course– up to 3 credits per semester (in fall or spring semester).

The cross enrollment deadline is 5 business days prior to the start of DMACC's semester. No course changes, other than drops, are permitted after this point.
- Students are required to apply for cross enrollment each term they wish to cross enroll on a first come first serve basis.
- Only 2 students from either Drake or Grand View are allowed to cross-enroll in a single section at DMACC.
- Cross enrolled students need to understand DMACC
policies and
deadlines.
- The Cross Enrollment Application does not guarantee enrollment.
- The credits earned at DMACC will be reflected as transfer credit on the students' official Drake or Grand View transcript.
- If a student is interested in taking one course under cross enrollment that's more than 3 credits, the student is responsible to pay for any additional credits.
- Each institution reserves the right to exclude certain courses from the Cross Enrollment program.
For Drake and Grand View students, courses with the following prefixes are excluded from the Cross Enrollment Program effective Fall 2017.

Student Responsibilities:
- Review DMACC semester and course start/end dates. Some courses begin earlier or later than the full semester. Also review DMACC deadlines, and policies.
- Ensure the DMACC class will be acceptable toward the student's degree/program at Drake or Grand View and the DMACC course is available under Cross enrollment. See the table above.
- Check the DMACC website for the current
Course Schedule. Select multiple courses in case you are unable to be cross enrolled in your first choice.

Students taking a Math Course at DMACC – must have satisfied one of the following within 18 months of registration.
- Earned a C- or better in the prerequisite course
- Earned an appropriate ALEKS score prior to requesting Cross Enrollment in a math course. Visit the Math Placement webpage for details.
- Look for an Email confirmation from DMACC regarding the status of your cross enrollment.
- Pay for book(s), special course materials & technology fees (if applicable) for the DMACC class.
- Attend and participate in the DMACC class as DMACC may administratively drop students who do not attend their course.
- Know and understand the DMACC drop deadlines. If a student does not successfully complete the DMACC course, they may be billed tuition fees by DMACC.

After final grades have been submitted, each institution will automatically exchange official transcripts for the cross-enrolled students.

If a student has a past due account balance at DMACC, their official transcript will not be released until their DMACC account is paid in full.
Instructions for Drake students to cross enroll at DMACC:
- Students first meet with an advisor at their home institution to discuss cross enrollment.
- Complete & sign the Cross Enrollment Application and Tuition Waiver. The Subject, Course number and Course reference number (CRN) are required.
- List multiple courses options in case the first choice is unavailable.
- A Drake Official must sign the form to confirm eligibility.
- The Cross enrollment contact at Drake is Sara Schoneberg (515-271-2155).
- Drake will send the completed cross enrollment applications to DMACC, electronically. Requests are processed in the order received.
- Registrations will be processed at the same time that New Arts & Science students are permitted to enroll at DMACC.
- DMACC will email the student regarding their cross enrollment status and important DMACC information.
Instructions for Grand View students to cross enroll at DMACC:
- Students first meet with an advisor at their home institution to discuss cross enrollment.
- The cross enrollment contact at Grand View is Jodie Jackson (515-263-2960).
- Complete & sign the Cross Enrollment Application/Tuition Waiver. The Subject, Course number and Course reference number (CRN) are required.
- List multiple courses options in case the first choice is unavailable.
- A Grand View Official must sign the form to confirm eligibility.
- Grand View will send the completed applications to DMACC, electronically. Requests are processed in the order received.
- Registrations will be processed by DMACC at the same time that New Arts & Science students are permitted to enroll at DMACC.
- DMACC will email the student regarding their cross enrollment status and important DMACC information.
