Discover DMACC Days 

DMACC is dedicated to helping students reach their goals, and during this difficult time we will be hosting virtual events to help students with their transition to college. Virtual Discover DMACC Days are the perfect ​​opportunity for students and their guests to explore DMACC.

Multicultural Nights

Co-sponsored by the offices  of Community and Global Engagement and the Recruitment Department, the Multicultural Night events will provide a great introduction to Des Moines Area Community College, highlighting the admissions, financial aid and scholarship application process, academic and degree programs at DMACC, and the collective services offered by the many departments at DMACC to support you. Hear from students, faculty, and staff who will share their experience of being a member of the DMACC community.

Career Advantage Webinar Series

​Please join us via Zoom to learn about Career Advantage, taking DMACC credits, and how to make the most of your DMACC credits. Each event is held virtually via Zoom. If you would like to attend multiple events you will need to sign up for them individually. You will be sent a link to the event two days before the event.

What’s your Major?

​How do you know what to major in with so many options? This session will give you an overview of DMACC’s Focus 2 Career Assessment which is a free tool to help you in choosing a major. You will also learn about DMACC’s academic pathways and DegreeWorks which can help you in selecting a major and classes.

​Hear from a panel of current Career Advantage students taking DMACC courses while they are in high school. Find out what they like about classes and how they got started. You will have an opportunity to ask questions and get real answers.

How to take DMACC credits in High School

​Are you interested in taking college credit while in high school? In this session, you will find what options you have to take DMACC credits in your high school, at a DMACC location, and online. We will also discuss how to get signed up for classes through DMACC.
