Choosing a college and deciding that “now” is the time to start is always monumental. Having the courage to make that decision in a time of international crisis is huge. If we wait until we think we’re ready, we may find ourselves waiting for the rest of our lives.

We have the lowest cost tuition in the state, we have six campuses and six learning centers in the heart of Central Iowa, and our caring and supportive faculty and staff recognize that students have lives outside of the classroom.

Getting started at DMACC is as easy as 1, 2, 3

1. Apply

It's quick, simple and free. You will immediately hear from us via email about your admission status. APPLY NOW

Get Credit for Credits. If you have credits from another college or university, Send Us Your Transcripts.
Note: If you’re having difficulty gaining access to your transcripts right now, we understand. Not having your transcripts will not delay your admission.

2. Assess

DMACC is waiving your Reading and English assessment testing for incoming students for fall 2020 semester!

Required Math/Science Tests: If you plan to take a Math or Science class this fall, you must complete the ALEKS assessment. You are not required to come to campus to take the assessment.

Want to test? No problem. If you're coming back to school for the first time in a long while and you want to complete Reading and English assessments so you know which classes might be best for you, you can take the ACCUPLACER assessment from a distance.

3. Register

Once you've been admitted to your program, you will receive an email from Orientation with instructions on how to attend an online orientation session.

This session will:

Give you information about DMACC.
Get you signed in in to your myDMACC student account.
Help you register for your first semester classes.

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to come to DMACC. In a time when everything is seemingly more difficult than before, becoming a DMACC student is as easy as 1 (Apply), 2 (Assess), 3 (Register at Orientation)!
