Description: This course covers the basics of wastewater sources, characteristics, operations and regulations as well as biological treatment principles, wastewater math. Participants will have an overview of the operation of preliminary, primary and secondary treatment operations. This course & 6 months experience satisfies the requirements to take the State Grade 1 Exam. This is a good review for the Grade II exam. Class meets in person. Text books and class material provided.

Description: This 30-hour training course provides a foundation and builds on knowledge about water sources and characteristics. This class & 6 months experience satisfies DNR Grade I Water Treatment eligibility. This class is for entry-level and current grade I or II operators. Class meets virtually via Blackboard. A link with instructions will be sent 2-3 days before the class starts.

Description: This 30-hour virtual training course provides an evaluation of theory and knowledge as it applies to wastewater collection systems. Competencies covered include the duties of an operator, evaluation of raw wastewater sources, explanation of the operation, maintenance, and restoration of wastewater collection systems. Also discussed will be the administrative procedure for wastewater collection systems. Textbooks and class materials provided. Description: This course will provide an introduction to surface water and surface water treatment. Topics that will be discussed include coagulation and flocculation, sedimentation, and filtration. Other topics include surface water technologies, recycling considerations, turbidity measurements, disinfection, surface water challenges, SCADA, and record keeping, and operation certification requirements. This class is designed for grade 1 and above operators who are working to upgrade their certification and for operators in surface water plants. Textbook Included.

Description: This course is designed for Wastewater operators preparing for the Grade 3 or Grade 4 certification exam. Prerequisite: Grade 2 Wastewater operator's license. Must be competent in basic math and WW treatment processes. Topics Include: Treatment Process Monitoring, Evaluation, & Adjustment; Equipment Operation, Maintenance, & Evaluation; Laboratory Analysis; Security, Safety, & Administrative Procedures.
