Young Scientists Conduct Hand-on Experiments at DMACC Pre-Med Day - August 2013
Eighth-graders Sandra Orellana, left, and Laila Williams,both of Des Moines, conduct a DNA extraction experiment during DMACC's Pre-Meet Day last month on the Ankeny campus. Experiments at the daylong camp included blood typing, starch digestion and dissection of a cow eyeball.
