We have part-time Receptionist and Graphic Designer/Administrative Assistant positions available at $10/hour.
Receptionist – Positioned at each funeral home during nights and weekends to answer phones, assist guests with product orders, custom printing, payments etc., facilitate communication among Iles team members and administrative support. Receptionist are responsible for phone transfers and locked buildings at the end of the day. They are under the leadership of funeral directors with active services in their chapel and the chapel office administrator.
Graphic Designer/Administrative Assistant – The print shop for Iles Funeral Homes is located in the front office of Westover Chapel. Receptionists in this office are trained to do design and printing as well as night/weekend administrative support. You would be the first contact a family encounters when coming into the funeral home. The primary duty of the Administrative Assistant is photo editing, designing and printing personalized materials (memorial folders/candles/register books/thank you notes) for six funeral homes including emailing families for approval and working directly with grieving families in an administrative function (not as a social worker). Other administrative functions include answering multi-line phone system, communication with families and directors, writing obituaries, adding events to the schedule all while working on strict deadlines.
Responsibilities and Duties: These positions takes patience and a calm, positive customer service attitude with the customer first in mind at all times. Candidates must have the ability to be self-directed and work with limited supervision. Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Requires superior written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Responsible for learning the Iles Funeral Homes mission and goals; to look and act professionally in appearance, in verbal, written and listening skills; manage time and resources appropriately; maintain quality of service that our customers expect in all aspects of the job.
