Prugh Funeral Service in Burlington, Iowa is looking to hire a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer for their family-owned funeral home.

Qualifications Required

Education and Licenses

  • Degree from Accredited Mortuary Science Program
  • Current Funeral Director and Embalmer dual license in Iowa or ability to get one
  • Valid driver's license

Job Responsibilities

  • Being on-call on a rotational basis with other funeral directors
  • Performing removals/transports from place of death
  • Making at-need arrangements with families and seeing those arrangements through until completion with assistance by support staff
  • Embalming and other preparation
  • Assist with Cremations
  • Communicating with and delegating to support staff when appropriate

Pay

Wage is dependent upon experience. Overtime paid over 40 hours.
