Core Courses

Core Courses for Associate in Science degree (28 credits)

Students in the ITR A.S. degree program are required to take courses (28 credits) in certain basic subject matter areas. A student usually can choose from two or more specific courses to fulfill the requirements of each core area. In selecting core courses, students should think ahead. You may want to select courses that eventually will transfer to a 4-year institution. You can request a copy of transfer agreements to assist in selecting core courses. Contact the ITR Program Advisor for more information.

There are specific recommendations for ITR A.S. students for their core courses:

  • Judiciary ITR: POL 111 or POL 112 (Social & Behavioral Sciences requirement)
  • Healthcare ITR: CHM 105 (Mathematics and Sciences requirement)
