Transfer Plan With University of Iowa

Through an agreement with the University of Iowa, students from DMACC can transfer seamlessly and earn their B.S. degree in Sports & Recreation Management.

The University of Iowa’s program has internships in Des Moines with sports teams, facilities, park/recreation departments, and wellness institutes as well as the flexibility to take some classes in Iowa City or Des Moines.

We will work with you from the beginning of your program until you graduate from the University of Iowa. The academic staff at both institutions will help you in planning the appropriate course sequence and to explore your career interests in fitness and health promotion through volunteer and/or field experiences, student clubs and other networking opportunities.

Students can take DMACC classes at both Ankeny and Boone Campuses.  Classes start Fall, Spring and Summer Terms.
