About

Jessica is the current dietary director for Brio of Johnston. She is a 2000 graduate of Iowa State University with a BS in Community Health Education with a minor in Gerontology. With over 18 years of dietary management experience, she dedicates her time to enhancing the residents' dining experience on a daily basis by focusing on personal preferences, nutritional needs and food presentation. Her goal is to provide the residents of her facility the highest quality food and service in the industry. With a dual approach of teaching and leading a team to meet these goals, Jessica is able to lead by example to her staff and students regarding the proper food production techniques.​

About
Barbara Thomsen CDM,CFPP, RAC-CT, ICAC is an active Certified Dietary Manager/ANFP member, serving on both the National Certifying Board and State Chapter boards/committees.   Barbara is a 15+ veteran Long Term care CDM/CFPP. She has shared her regulatory knowledge across the nation with other ANFP State Chapter meetings, District/National Sessions as well as state Health Care Associations seminars.  She has been published in numerous Long Term Care Publications as well as authored various Nutritional Manuals/Guidebooks. Barbara has been an adjunct instructor for the DMACC Dietary Manager Course for the past few years, preceptor and mentor. Recently Barbara successfully organized and lead DMACC's first CDM Exam Prep session.

Jill is a consulting dietitian in long term care facilities. She has many years of dietetic experience. She graduated ​with a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics from Illinois State University. ​
