Dwayne Faidley Receives Ag Award

DMACC Agribusiness Co-Chair Dwayne Faidley (second from left) was ecognized in early February as a finalist for Ag Educator of the Year at the State Professional Agricultural Student (PAS) Competition in Ames. Iowa FFA Executive Director Josh Remington (left), Midwest Insurance Corporation (MIC) Nationwide Agent Amanda Rudd and Nationwide Insurance Marketing Management Consultant Steve Ferreira presented Faidley with a $500 check to honor his outstanding commitment to ag education.

Presented by Nationwide and the Iowa FFA Foundation, the Golden Owl Award recognizes agricultural educators across Iowa for their tremendous contributions to helping the next generation of agricultural leaders.

Faidley was also recognized with an engraved plaque. In addition to being awarded the Golden Owl for Iowa, Faidley is also a candidate for the grand prize. Each grand prize winner will receive the coveted Golden Owl Award trophy, the designation as their state's Ag Educator of the Year and a $3,000 Nationwide-funded award designed to support continued education efforts. The Iowa grand prize winner will be announced during the Iowa FFA State Leadership Conference in April.
