Existing Users (Instructors who completed training previously)
- If you did the training prior to 2016, you completed the Blended/Online Training. You are not required to go through the training again. Resources are available in the Online Instructional Resources course in Blackboard.
- From 2016-April 2020, faculty had the choice of the Web Enhanced or Blended/Online training.

If you previously completed only the Web Enhanced Training, you will need to sign up below for the Blended/Online Training in order to teach Blended or Online classes.

New Users (Instructors who have not completed training previously)
You must complete Blackboard training prior to using Blackboard. DMACC policy reads: "All online instructors must be trained and certified on using the Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS) by the Distance Learning department."
How the Training Works

Sign up for the Blended/Online Training session below. You will NOT receive a confirmation email from the form.
- You will receive login instructions in your DMACC email when we are ready for you to begin or on the session start date.
- The
entire Blackboard training course is completed online and is self-paced. You can complete it any time prior to the deadline. Our
Instructional Designers are available if you would like additional assistance.
- In order to successfully complete the training,
all required work must be completed by the end date listed for your session.
Blended/Online Training Sign-Up
- This course covers basic necessities, such as the DMACC Template, Announcements, Syllabus, Your Instructor contact information, and the Grade Center (i.e., setting up your gradebook).
- You are required to develop 3 weeks of a fully online course, which includes adding content and graded tools (e.g., Discussion Board, Journal, Assignment, Test).
- After successfully completing the Blended/Online Training, you will be paid a $300 stipend if you are assigned to teach a course. You will be able to teach Web Enhanced, Real-time Virtual, Web Blended, and/or Online courses.
Spring 2023 Session - Sign up by filling out the
Blended/Online Training Sign-Up form.
- Start: ASAP
- End: May 11th (or ASAP if needed to teach at the start of Spring Semester)
