Background Information
DMACC has a long history of using LEAN to streamline and improve experiences for students, faculty and staff. Though there have been many successes, there continues to be a need to expand continuous quality improvement beyond just the LEAN methodology, and to ensure that all key areas of the college are constantly engaged in evaluating and improving processes.
“Improving What We Do” is a process that will provide structure, support and accountability across the college. Identified key areas will be constantly engaged to improve quality in their areas. A newly formed Commission will provide direction and oversight to the process and will ensure all projects align with the College’s strategic plan.
This process will enhance our already existing culture of improvement, provide training and support to all areas of the college, and improve service to students, faculty and staff.
Charge to Commission
The charge to this Commission is: To grow our culture of improvement by enhancing service to students and customers both internally and externally, through assuring all key areas of the college are actively engaged in meaningful quality improvement initiatives.
