New Agreement Paves the Way for DMACC Skills Training in Kosovo

Kosovo’s Minister of Economic Development is coming to DMACC to sign new agreement
 
WHO: 

Valdrin Lluka, Kosovo’s Minister of Economic Development and DMACC President Rob Denson will sign a new agreement that paves the way for DMACC training classes in welding and other skilled trades that will be offered within the Kosovo Energy Corporation’s (KEK) new facilities in Prishtina, that nation’s capital city.
 
WHAT:
The agreement says DMACC will work with the Ministries in Kosovo to deliver quality career and vocational training to Kosovars that’s tailored to meet the specific needs of Kosovo businesses.
 
DMACC will develop the training curriculum and provide faculty to train Kosovar instructors at the KEK facility. The agreement calls for Kosovo to fund the new training initiative.

WHY:
The new agreement is part of an ongoing collaboration between DMACC and the Republic of Kosovo to create a new generation of skilled workers. Earlier this year, Minister of Economic Development Lluka signed a cooperation agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), which is advising the Government of Kosovo on the development of a 50 MW solar power plant.
