Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Urban Campus, in collaboration with the Office of Asian and Pacific Islanders, Iowa Asian Alliance and EMBARC (Ethnic Minorities of Burma Advocacy and Resource Center), is hosting an Asian and Pacific Islander Night event on Thursday, July 20 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in building 1, rooms 124 and 126, 1100 Seventh St., Des Moines. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and the program begins at 6 p.m.
At the event, participants will receive all information needed in order to enroll and be successful at DMACC. Topics to be discussed include: planning for colleges, admissions, financial aid, DMACC’s resources and tips on how to succeed in college. Current students, as well as alumni, will talk about their experiences at DMACC. A light meal will be provided.
