Des Moines Area Community College has selected China as the focus country of its International Year for the 2010-2011 school year; it is the third China Year in the college's history.
Our
goal for China Year is to educate our students, faculty, and staff about the Chinese culture in our diversified world. The events will focus on areas such as the people, economy, literature, and folk arts with lectures, discussions, presentations, forums, food, entertainment, the Chinese New Year cultural program, and more.
The
Fall program was held in late October through early November, with the
Spring program from March 29 through April 20, 2011, both district-wide. The
theme of the Fall program was the
Introduction to China (its society, people, and agriculture).
