Yes. By taking dual-credit classes, you are getting a great head start towards earning your degree, but you still need to apply for admissions and follow all admissions requirements before being accepted to DMACC.
After you've satisfied your admissions requirements, you will receive a letter or email informing you that you've been accepted to DMACC. Next, you'll receive information on how to register for New Student Orientation. Immediately following orientation, you will have the opportunity to register for classes.
Yes. DMACC credits transfer to schools throughout the country. Contact the 4-year university you plan on attending to confirm if DMACC credits are accepted.DMACC has outstanding partnership programs with several 4-year institutions, allowing for a seamless transfer process. DMACC's pre-professional programs are designed for students to complete their first two years of a four-year degree, with an emphasis in your program of interest. Visit the pre-professional programs page for more information.
Absolutely. Register for a Discover DMACC Day or schedule an individual campus tour. By coming to campus, you get a chance to tour your program of interest and meet with an advisor. Discover DMACC Days also provide a student panel, admissions and financial aid information and a free meal. We look forward to seeing you on campus.
