Each year awards are given in appreciation and recognition of outstanding service given to the college by DMACC faculty and staff. Employees are nominated by their colleagues and personally selected by DMACC leadership. The 2016 President's Day awards will be conferred at the October 21, 2016 President’s Day event. Nominations are due by Friday, September 30, 2016.

Distinguished Faculty Award
The Distinguished Faculty Award is given in recognition of outstanding teaching and contribution to education process at DMACC.
Eligibility: Any DMACC faculty member who has been employed full-time for a minimum of two years may be nominated.
Distinguished Service Award
The Distinguished Service Award is given in recognition of outstanding service to DMACC beyond regular job responsibilities; for example, special college projects, service on committees and commissions, and/or development of an innovative program or project contributing to the enhancement or growth of DMACC.
Eligibility: Any DMACC faculty or professional staff member who has been employed full time for a minimum of two years may be nominated.
Support Staff Service Award
The Support Staff Service Award is given in recognition of outstanding quality service to DMACC in the fulfillment of job responsibilities. Nomination letters can also include participation in special projects, service on committees and commissions, or development of ideas that enhances DMACC.
Eligibility: Any full time employee DMACC support staff member who has been a regular employee for a minimum of two years may be nominated.
Distinguished Adjunct Faculty Award
The Distinguished Adjunct Faculty Award is given in recognition of outstanding teaching a DMACC by an adjunct faculty member.
Eligibility: Any adjunct faculty member who has been teaching at DMACC for a minimum of two terms may be nominated.
Distinguished Continuing Education Faculty Award
The Distinguished Continuing Education Faculty Award is given in recognition of outstanding teaching and contribution to the continuing education mission at DMACC.
Eligibility: Any DMACC Continuing Education faculty member who has been employed at DMACC for at least four terms.
Distinguished Customer Service Award
The Distinguished Customer Service Award recognizes all employees who are participating on teams or as individuals and have made exceptional contributions and exceeded expectations in delivering services of superior quality to DMACC constituencies: students, vendors, customers, partners, and stakeholders in carrying out the College's mission of providing quality, affordable, student-centered education and training to empower Iowans of all ages and backgrounds to pursue life's opportunities and achieve their career dreams.
Examples of customer service may include developing innovative processes that resulted in significant quality improvements
in service or through personal interactions having performed exceptionally in
delivering superior service. Performance should clearly exceed expectations. While the nominations of individuals will be accepted, the award encourages the recognition of teamwork. Teams may consist of employees from the same department or from a number of different departments or campuses who were brought together for a specialized project/program/event, etc...
Eligibility: Any DMACC employee.
Nominations are due by Friday, September 30, 2016.
