Earth Week: Wildflowers and Wild Edibles booth with food samples and handouts

Stop by our booth on the 2nd floor of Building 1 to learn about the wildflowers and wild edibles that grow right here in Central Iowa. We’ll have samples of garlic mustard pesto, dandelion soup, and violet lemonade for you to try!

Join us at this small group career exploration workshop on the Ankeny campus to start your career planning journey. In your session, you'll complete a free career assessment that will help you identify occupations that might fit your interests, skills, and values. To sign up, please call 515-964-6200 and dial 0 to reach a scheduler who can help you reserve a spot. Schedulers are available Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Earth Week: Raccoon River Canoe Trip

Campus: Urban

Participants will take part in a guided canoe trip on the Raccoon River. Along the way we’ll talk about the river ecosystem and water quality issues in Iowa. This trip is beginner–friendly, so no previous canoeing experience is required. Canoes, lifejackets, transportation, and lunch will be provided. "Careers with John Deere" Information Sessions

Representatives from the John Deere plant in Ankeny will give presentations on career opportunities every half-hour (11am, 11:30am, 12pm, 12:30pm). Free lunch provided. Students and alumni are invited to attend any of the four presentations to learn about jobs in Assembly, Welding, Machining, and Maintenance. DMARC Mobile Food Pantry on Campus

The DMARC Mobile Food Pantry will be on campus Tuesday, April 24th from 12:00-2:00pm. Once per calendar month you can receive a 3-day supply of food. Dog Wash and Microchip Clinic

Location: Behind FFA Enrichment Center

The DMACC Vet Tech Club is holding its Semi-annual Dog Wash Saturday April 28th from 10am to 2 pm. The event will be held on the DMACC Ankeny Campus behind the FFA Enrichment Center. Signs will be posted. A dog bath will be only $15 for a wash and towel dry or blow out. Only socialized dogs on short leashes (No flexi-leashes) please. Homeagain microchips will also be available for dogs, cats and other small pets. All cats and other small pets must be in carriers. The microchips are $39.95 and the fee includes implantation of the chip and registration. All proceeds from the event benefit the DMACC Vet Tech Club and their philanthropic endeavors. This event will be held rain or shine.
