A Midsummer Night's Dream
July 11, 2020
7:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Summer Short Shakespeare '20 - A Midsummer Night's Dream, by William Shakespeare. Adapted by Carl Lindberg. Our 4th annual Summer Short Shakespeare! Playing July 10-19. Admission is FREE! This contemporary adaptation puts Shakespeare's classic lovers, performers, and fairies on a college campus with fun references to current culture icons and social environments. Join in the merriment as four young lovers set out for the forest, where a below amateur theater troupe is rehearsing... until the real drama club discovers these mere mortals in their midst. From then on what else could happen, but action fit for Shakespeare: mischief ensues until dawn. Rated PG-13. (About Summer Short Shakespeare: Every Summer we will perform one of Shakespeare's plays that has been significantly shortened and given a relevant spin while holding true to the Elizabethan style of audience/actor interaction.)
