USO Camp Dodge & Rock Island are recruiting volunteers who are passionate about giving back to the military community. Key duties of volunteers include customer service and interaction with the service members and their families. At Camp Dodge and Rock Island, volunteers assist patrons with checking out equipment, helping them get signed in to use the facilities, providing them with snacks and refreshments, and assisting with executing various special events. Volunteering at Urban Dreams includes (but isn't always limited to) food distribution and recording data

We give out free food Monday through Friday 9 am to 5 pm. We don't allow the community to come inside the building just yet. They knock on our door or ring our bell & we bag up some food to hand to them. We use a google form to record data about each person who comes to our door. Some of the questions include their zip code, the number of people in their house, whether they are a veteran, and their form of transportation to our building. We also record some demographic questions by looking at them....their race, age group, and gender. This information helps us with our funding.

Masks are required inside the building.
