Wednesday, April 21st, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
There’s no denying that the past year has been unlike anything we have experienced before. The pandemic not only interrupted college life as we know it, but also brought along other stressors such as anxiety, depression, loneliness, academic overwhelm, disappointment, financial strains and a political division. It probably feels like the past year has been a complete wash… BUT we are confident that it is possible to use adversity as an opportunity for self-reflection and improvement. That is the purpose of this year’s GEAR UP Iowa Virtual College Conference: equipping GEAR UP college students with the tools to pivot this moment to enhance their resilience, personal wellness, peer connections and creativity. The conference sessions will each be around 30 minutes long which allows you to attend different sessions depending on your class and/or work schedule. We can’t wait to see you, albeit virtually!
