Want to Get a Real Estate License?
An applicant applying for an original salesperson license needs to provide evidence of successful completion of the following courses:
Prior to taking state exam:
- 60-hour pre-license class
- This course meets three weekends in a row: 6-10 on Friday night; and 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday
Additional course work: (can be taken after the state exam, but must be completed during the 12 months prior to license application)
All realtors are required to complete a certain number of continuing education classes to maintain their license. Classes change throughout the year, so check the IAR website for the current listing, Online Real Estate Pre-License Course.
