Facebook has announced a plan to train 1 million people across the U.S. by 2020 by ensuring business owners have the skills they need to grow their business and that job seekers have the tools they need to find good jobs.
To support these efforts locally, Facebook is partnering with DMACC to develop a new non-credit Digital Marketing Certificate program, which will include courses in digital marketing and social media strategy for enrolled students.
This is an online course which means all readings, homework and interactions with the instructor and other students are done online and will have due dates. You'll spend the same amount of time learning the material as in a face-to-face course, except all learning is online. To see if online learning is for you, take this assessment.
You will cover a wide-range of digital marketing and social media topics, in addition to Facebook. To help you decide the course content is what you are looking for, carefully review the course description and course outline, which are below.
Course cost is only $299 (thanks to Facebook paying a portion of the total cost).
If you successfully complete the course, you will receive $50 in Facebook ad credits to use for your business (Facebook policy does not allow the ad credits to be used by nonprofit organizations).
Course Drop Policy: Noncredit courses have a different drop policy from credit courses you may have taken. You may drop the course and receive a full refund up to 48 hours (2 business days) before the course begins. If you decide to drop after this time (including after the course starts), you may still drop the course, but the tuition will not be refunded.
